Istanbul to Mt. Ararat
14-Day Tour Example
Istanbul airport, transfer to hotel
Day tour in Sultanahmet, Istanbul (Blue Mosque, hagia Sophia, Topkap: Palace, Underground cistern).
Fly to Ven, visit Ven Castle
Mt. Suphan, camp for one night
Start trek at 2 am, reach summit early morning (4050m, 5 hours) return to camp, rest, drive to Oozubayazit, after dinner visit the haman.
Day tour of Dogabayazit then visit the hot springs in Diyadin.
Transfer by minibus at 8 am to the foot of Mt. Ararat (2200m). We ascend to first camp at 3200m (4 hours) make camp. Hot food is served.
Acclimation Day. Climb to 2nd camp at 4200m, return to 1st camp.
Ascend to 2nd camp, relax and prepare for summit ascent, hot dinner is served.
Start at 2 am, climb to Mt. Ararat summit (5137m), return to 2nd camp for hot soup and tea, return to 1st camp for dinner.
Descend from 1st camp, stay in Dogubayazit hotel last night.
Day trip to fish lake with barbeque lunch (fresh trout) hot dinner in the evening, camp on the lake shore.
Transfer to van, visit Akdamar Island, stay in Ven hotel.
Transfer to Ver airport for flight to Istanbul.
